My sister-in-law, Ralphaela, is most definitely a strong woman. Several sinus operations have affected her face and ears, and lowered her resistance to antibiotics. Even with these challenges, and while recovering from a back injury, Ralphaela finds the time to help her elderly neighbors and family.

She never complains and always places those she helps above her own needs. I have seen her suffer with pain yet refuse to let her discomfort hamper her determination. She is always moving forward with the intention to brighten, even by a flicker, someone’s day. Ralphaela is a strong woman, my friend and mentor.
